Kitty Cat Birthday Party!

My girl LOVES cats! When I started thinking about “birthday themes”, it didn’t take me long to realize a kitty party would be perfect! A friend of mine had done a kitty party for her daughter. She let me borrow some of her stuff. I got a lot of ideas from her. When I googled “kitty party” I could not find much outside of “Hello Kitty” so I wanted to be sure to blog and share some ideas : )

Cat plates- tape cardstock triangles on solid colored plate

I found these at the Dollar Store, washed them up good and I think they made perfect serving dishes!

These cake balls were delicious and super easy!!!
Bake a box cake according to directions. Let cool about 10 mins then mix in 1/3- to half a can of icing. Roll in to balls and place in the freezer for 30 mins. Melt chocolate in microwave. Add 1/2 tablespoon of Crisco. Stir together. Then roll the cake balls in chocolate until covered. Add sprinkles. Place back in the freezer for 15 mins. Keep in the fridge until ready to be served!

We had the party mid afternoon and decided to do an “ice cream bar”. Add some kitty fabric, more pet dishes, and kitty stuffed animals and you have a pretty layout!

My friend Rhonda gave me this from her daughter’s b-day. It pin the tail on the kitty! Too cute!!!

We had out different mask and kitty paraphernalia. The kids dressed up like kitties. I thought for older kids it would be fun to make a “cat walk” out of red wrapping paper and have the kids “strut their stuff” down the cat walk. The winner would be the most “cat like” model!

My favorite kitty!

Found this on pinterest! Super cute!!

  2. […] Eating Paraphernalia– Basically I think we’d just need some cat plates to eat the cake off of. I’m going fairly practical here so that Mr. BarBelle perhaps agrees to this shindig, and our kind friends agree to attend. I found various cat plates, including these, but these also look very easy to use. […]
