Called to Ministry 2

Whenever I check my blog stats, there is always a google search for the three words above. I think this is so interesting. I have found almost everyday I have someone going to the previous post I wrote on being called to ministry. Two things: First, I find it crazy people want to read what [...]

Excited about Canvas!

I am really getting excited about Canvas! We had a great weekend! Friday night we ate dinner with a friend of mine from college and her boyfriend. He was a SCAD grad and gave us a lot of insight into SCAD and the ministries (or lack there of) going on down there!
Saturday we had our [...]

Jumping in…

Last year, when my cat was still a curious little kitten, she had a fascination with the bath tub. Every time I would run the water or get in she would be on the edge. She (well at the time we thought “she” was a “he” but that is a whole other story : ) [...]

Weekend in Valdosta

This weekend Mark, me and several other “Canvasians” (as Mikey calls us) headed down to Valdosta. We went to meet with CrossPointe Church. It was a great weekend! This church was amazing. I have never felt more love and encouragement from people I had never met before! I felt like I was going to a [...]

Bittersweet

Yesterday was our last full “normal day” at Church at the Ridge. We will be “attending” until we move but yesterday was our last normal serving day. Our Sunday schedule has been waking up around 6am (usually just Mark though), Mark playing in the band, me teaching in RidgeKidz Jr., staying after to break down [...]

A Baby? pt. 4

“It’s been over a week. You need to take a pregnancy test!”, was the response I heard over the phone from my husband. “Fine!” I said. I knew I was safe because I had just gone to lunch with my dad and had drunk probably a gallon of water. I bought the test from the [...]

Women’s Rights! pt. 3

This next part of my journey I still struggle with….
Last year our small group’s girls studied a book called “The Excellent Wife“. You could add a theatrical sound effect of gloom….we refer to it still as “The Book”. It got to a lot of us! Although I did not agree with it 100%, I learned [...]

the South

I love the south. I have lived in seven southern cities (most in GA) and will soon be moving to my eight later this year! There is no where else like it!
We went to Savannah this weekend. Spring is beginning to bloom and it is beautiful! They are a little ahead of us here in [...]

Music

I love music. I have found sometimes I have no words for God only a song. These are two songs that have become prayers.
I thought I would share:
-Rita Springer “Worth it”
I don’t understand Your ways
Oh but I will give You my song
Give You all of my praise
You hold on to all my pain
With it [...]
